The Department recognizes and appreciates the vital role accredited and approved adoption service providers play in the intercountry adoption process. On September 11, 2025, the Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS) renewed the accreditation of America World Adoption Association to provide adoption services for intercountry adoptions. America World Adoption Association’s accreditation is valid through September 13, 2029.

Accreditation, approval, monitoring, and oversight of U.S. adoption service providers are handled by the designated accrediting entities, the Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) or Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS).
