Consular Operations During a Lapse in Government Funding

During the lapse in government funding, consular operations domestically and abroad will remain operational. This includes: 

  • Passports 
  • Visas 
  • Assisting American citizens abroad 

Certain domestic support for consular operations will be suspended.
