Renew or Replace a Passport

You may be eligible to renew your passport online or by mail. You can also correct information in your passport or report it lost or stolen. 

Note: You cannot renew a passport for a child under age 16. You must apply again in person

Even if you already have a passport, you might not be able to renew it. If that's the case, you must apply in person.

  • Determine if you are eligible to renew your passport online. Learn how and track your status.

  • Report your lost or stolen passport immediately to protect yourself from identity theft. You can do so online, by mail, or in person when you apply for a new passport.
